Ashraya funding is available for running preschools that serve the needs of working mothers. Ashraya would fund the salary for the teacher and for midday snacks. The community must provide space.

To-date, Ashraya has funded 4 preschools of this type in Nasrala Village and Hoshiarpur. Three of these were subsequently closed because of a lack of sufficient demand, and the last one was closed in March 2010..
